About the Performers Judith Bedford holds both a Master of Music degree and an Artist Diploma from the New England Conservatory of Music, where she studied modern bassoon with Sherman Walt, Matthew Ruggiero, and Stephen Maxym. She is on the faculty of the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and the Longy School of Music. Frances Conover Fitch has toured extensively in North America and Europe, and recorded for Swiss, German, Dutch, and French National Radio as well as for the BBC. She teaches at the New England Conservatory and the Longy School, and is Music Director at Trinity Episcopal Church of Topsfield and Boxford. Alice Robbins is a graduate of Indiana University and the Schola Cantorum of Basel, and performs widely on viola da gamba and baroque cello. Ms. Robbins teaches at Smith College and at Boston University. Carol Hunt Epple received her BA, magna cum laude, from Brown University, and MM in flute from the New England Conservatory. She has studied modern flute with James Pappoutsakis, Karlheinz Zoeller, Albert Tipton, and Maurice Sharp; and baroque flute with Frans Brueggen, Hans-Martin Linde, Shelley Gruskin, and Robert Willoughby. Dana Maiben attended Oberlin Conservatory and the Schola Cantorum of Basel, where she studied baroque violin with Jaap Schroeder. She has been music director and principal violinist of the Genesee Baroque Players and is currently principal violinist of the Arcadia Players. |
