About the Performer

Peter Watchorn has been active as a harpsichordist since 1974. At the 1985 Boston Early Music Festival, he was presented with the Erwin Bodky Memorial Award for his performances of the music of Bach. His principal harpsichord teacher was Isolde Ahlgrimm, with whom he studied between 1985 and 1992.

In 1995 Peter Watchorn received a doctoral degree with his dissertation on the English Suites from Boston University. His career has taken him throughout Europe, the United States, and his native Australia.
