Richard Wagner's Tristan Und Isolde

In December, Titanic released a four-disc set of the complete live recording of Richard Wagner's Tristan und Isolde. The opera was recorded live at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia, Bulgaria on February 8, 2004 and represents the premiere performance of Tristan und Isolde in Bulgaria.

For classical music connoisseurs, this is a rare opportunity to own a modern uncut recording that includes the often omitted Act II Day and Night music. This music is rarely available in new recordings.

This riveting full-length performance features Marc Deaton as Tristan, Susan Marie Pierson as Isolde, and the Bulgarian Festival Orchestra, conducted by Glen Cortese. The Bulgarian Festival Orchestra was created specifically for this recording and draws upon some of the best orchestral performers in Sofia including members of the Sofia Philharmonic, the National Radio Orchestra and the Bulgarian State Opera Orchestra.
